Dismissal Procedure: In an effort to cut down on students being loose in the building after classes, we have a dismissal policy we ask you to follow. Rather than having the parent come into the building, we will bring the students out to the parents. Students will be brought to the foyer area with their teachers. We are asking the parents to drive up to the entrance, one behind the other, and we will bring your children out to you. The Parent on Duty will identify the parent, call the family name to the foyer area, and the children will be dismissed to come to the car. If you are carpooling, you can let the POD know who you are picking up along with your own children. Please try to get the students settled in quickly to keep the line moving. High School students who are driving themselves will be free to leave after classes are done.
Beverage Policy: As we wish to respect the wishes of our host, Conestoga Mennonite Church, the only beverage permitted is WATER. PLEASE HELP US HONOR THIS REQUEST!
The Technology Policy
The only time the use of technology (including phones) is appropriate at learning group is:
- In the event of an emergency
- If an instructor requests that students use it for class
The Steering Committee does not feel that devices need to be used by students at any other time during the course of our day with us. We will publish a list of cell phone numbers for the Steering Committee, POD, and the Church so you can reach us if you need to. If your student is found using a device at a time other than what is deemed appropriate we will be using the procedure as follows
- Student will have device taken for the remainder of the class
- Student will lose device for the remainder of the day
- Student will lose the device for the remainder of the day and a parent will need to come into learning group after dismissal to get it back
Please Remember: Tuition is a yearly fee.
We count on full classes for the entire school year in order to make our budget work. When you enroll your child in learning group, you are making a financial commitment for the entire year. If you withdraw your child from learning group at any time during the year, you are still expected to pay full tuition.
